'cosmic knödl'

culture is a constantly changing construct and culinary is part of it. dishes emerge, migrate, are changed, appropriated, commercialized. heraclitus already understood the world (cosmos) as a constant flow, the unity in diversity.
thus, the series cosmic knödl tries to think about cultures on a culinary level not through differences, but in distance to each other and to create in that way a counter-position to the concept of cultural identity. dishes are not considered isolated, but an attempt is made to include their history and cultural background.
the exhibition was accompanied by a culinary performance.
